Make a Plan to Vote
In the past few years, there have been many changes to Georgia’s election rules in SB 202, the new Georgia voting law, we’ve put together this page with resources on how and when to vote by absentee, early in-person, and on election day. The new law shortens the window in which to request and mail-in an absentee ballot as well as restricts the number and location of drop boxes to deposit the ballot. Those are now located only at early voting locations and only open during the hours that early voting is taking place.
We recommend that anyone wishing to use absentee ballots, use the Online Absentee Ballot Portal. You’ll fill out a little bit of information and then your ballot will be sent to you shortly after the ballot window opens. Those ballots should be returned as soon as possible in the mail or at an early voting location. For participating in early voting, we recommend doing so on any day other than the first day of early voting. The first day is usually the busiest. For those who find it hard to go during the week, voting is also available Saturday and Sunday. We encourage you to use those dates.
